Kerio Connect - More Secure Than Ever with Latest Release

Today's release of Kerio Connect 8.3 adds significant security and ease-of-use improvements to Kerio Connect client, including support for digitally signed and encrypted email, the ability for users to remotely wipe or delete Exchange Active/Sync devices, and a Click-to-Call capability which enables placing calls directly from the inbox.

S/MIME Support in Kerio Connect Client

Digital signatures and email encryption are used when sending sensitive or confidential information over email where the authenticity of the sender and the recipient must be verified.

S/MIME support in Kerio Connect client gives users greater flexibility on the email clients they can use for sending digitally signed and/or encrypted emails, and receiving (decrypting) encrypted emails.

Now, business owners have peace-of-mind knowing that sensitive information sent via email can be sent and delivered securely and reliably. IT admins no longer need to force end users to use a specific email client to ensure security policies are adhered to.

Easier Management of User Contact Information

The new "Contact" tab in the Add User and Edit User screens in the Kerio Connect web administration allows the server admin to manage users' contact details from within the web admin. Previously, extended user contact information and user photos were only available if using a directory service. Now the same level of user information can be stored in the local user database.

IT admins enjoy a simplified means of managing users' contact details from within the Kerio Connect web administration regardless whether using a directory service or local database. When domain footers are being used with the new variable fields, end users no longer need to append their own personalized signature. User photos will be seen in email message headers and in their IM client, even when the admin is not using a directory service.

Click to Call from Kerio Connect client

Users of Kerio Connect client can now place phone calls from their Kerio Operator configured phone with a simple click of the mouse. Click to Call in Kerio Connect client increases user productivity and efficiency by eliminating unnecessary steps when placing phone calls to your contacts.

End users will love the ability to simply click on a colleague's name, or select a phone number, and begin a phone call - no more looking up numbers and typing them into the phone keypad.
