User Experience Design

Interview with users:

- "Does anyone need this particular menu item?"
- "I do. Urgently."
- "And this one?"
- "I do, I use it every day."
...
- "OK, so all the menu items are needed. What are your impressions about the menu?"
- "There are too many items."

User needs differ and it is not easy to develop a high quality product. The company business goals and technical capabilities have to be taken into account as well, and therefore we keep to the User Experience Design, for example:

  • Usability Testing – we let the users test the unfinished product and we usually cannot believe our eyes how many items are unclear
  • Paper and pencil - the fastest way to capture and improve ideas
  • Prototypes - Firebug, Photoshop and Powerpoint create a "clickable screenshot" within hours. In the code, it could take weeks.
  • User Research – we explore customers' needs and habits. Quite shocking sometimes - a password in CAPITAL LETTERS hanging on the board? We did not expect that!
