Kerio Adds McAfee Anti-Virus to Secure E-Mail Messaging Platform

McAfee Selected Over Other Anti-Virus Solutions for Superior Detection Of Emerging Virus Threats and World-Class Support

SANTA CLARA, CA - The McAfee Security division of Network Associates, Inc. (NYSE: NET) today announced that Kerio Technologies, Inc., a provider of Internet security software for small to medium sized networks, will integrate McAfee's advanced anti-virus technology into the Kerio MailServer (KMS) solution.

Kerio MailServer with embedded McAfee anti-virus technology checks for viruses and malicious code in incoming and outgoing e-mail traffic, including Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) traffic, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encrypted SMTP messages, and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) traffic used by wireless devices and cellular phones. As a pre-configured, stand-alone messaging solution, Kerio MailServer provides customers with a simplified means of managing both e-mail messaging and anti-virus security.

"McAfee quickly emerged as our anti-virus provider of choice for the Kerio MailServer solution with its proven anti-virus scanning ability and easy to support technology," said Dusan Vitek, Marketing Director for Kerio Technologies. "Adding McAfee's unparalleled technology to our product enables Kerio to offer an affordable, effective and seamless anti-virus component to our secure messaging solution."

"Kerio had a choice of anti-virus providers to add integrated virus scanning to its secure e-mail server solution, and McAfee was the only real choice for them based on the superior virus detection capabilities of McAfee's advanced scanning engine," said Michael Callahan, senior director of product marketing for Network Associates' McAfee Security division. "McAfee technology will power the anti-virus component of the Kerio MailServer, intercepting viruses and worms in e-mail messages before they can cause costly outbreaks or e-mail downtime that might be caused by mail storms. Kerio customers also utilizing wireless handheld devices to send and receive messages can also be assured their WAP communication is virus free."

The Kerio MailServer solution with integrated anti-virus technology from McAfee Security is available today from Kerio Technologies. More information and pricing for Kerio MailServer can be obtained by calling 408-496-4500, or by visiting http://www.kerio.com/kmsmca.
