Company![]() | Press Releases July 18, 2006 Kerio MailServer polishes Webmail with AJAX Web shared sticky notes, distribution lists among the dozen improvements to the user experience in Kerio MailServer 6.2 Kerio MailServer, a highly rated groupware server targeted to small and mid-market businesses, has been updated again, this time with a broad range of refinements to existing features most power users will appreciate. Among the new features are Sticky Notes support, a two-level spam rating system, and private Distribution Lists. Users of Sticky Notes in Microsoft Outlook can now share them with other colleagues. Color-coded Notes created in Outlook are automatically synchronized with Kerio MailServer and made immediately available in Kerio WebMail. The new two-level spam rating system helps users direct messages tagged with low spam scores to their Junk Email Folders for further review, while messages with really high spam scores can be automatically discarded without ever reaching user’s mailbox. This, combined with user-powered spam training, dramatically reduces the time users have to spend going through their email quarantine. Distribution Lists, which group private contacts into a single email address, help users streamline the process for sending informational emails to large groups of recipients. Available originally only in Outlook, Kerio MailServer 6.2 delivers Distribution Lists in Kerio WebMail, making Kerio WebMail even more functional for power users. Distribution Lists are synchronized between Outlook and WebMail. To support the growing number of global Kerio users, Kerio WebMail and Kerio WebMail Mini are now available in 16 languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, Croatian, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. “With this release, we focused on small improvements that help users do more with their email client, and do it more quickly and easily than before,“ says Dusan Vitek, VP of Worldwide Marketing at Kerio Technologies Inc. “By implementing technologies like AJAX, we hope to make our WebMail experience comparable or superior to that of traditional software email clients.“ “Kerio once again provides a stable, solid upgrade to their email server product,” says Steve Wildow, Chief Technology Officer of Tipp Technical Solutions, a Kerio Business Partner based in Tipp City, Ohio. “It is very easy to use and maintain. Simply put, Kerio MailServer lets my customers concentrate on their work without having to worry about maintaining their email server.
