Press Releases July 18, 2006 Kerio Announces Universal Mail Server for Mac OS X Kerio Technologies today announced it has launched a Universal version of Kerio MailServer 6.2, a groupware mail server for Mac OS X version 10.4 "Tiger". The powerful combination of email, contacts, calendars and tasks is ideal for small and mid-sized businesses and now it can be installed on both Power PC and Intel-based Macs. "Even though we make server software, we are committed to keeping our hardware requirements flexible to support the varying needs of our SMB customer base. The new version introduces a plug-in for Clam Antivirus to provide a minimum level of virus protection out of the box, scanning all email messages as they pass through the mail server. ClamAV can also be used alongside our optional built-in McAfee Anti-Virus, providing dual antivirus control for superior filtering. With Kerio MailServer, Mac users can use Apple Mail, iCal, Address Book or the AJAX-based Kerio WebMail to view, manage, and share contacts, calendars and email folders, and have all changes immediately synchronized with the server. Kerio MailServer also talks natively to Microsoft Entourage, a Mac groupware counterpart of Microsoft Outlook. Windows users connecting through the Kerio Outlook Connector can now synchronize their sticky notes. Kerio WebMail is optimized for Safari and Firefox browsers on Mac OS X, and Kerio WebMail Mini is optimized for PDA displays. Both are now available in 16 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, Croatian, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Price and availability Kerio MailServer is available now from over 500 partners worldwide and starts at $499 for 20 users, or $749 with integrated McAfee Anti-Virus.
