Company![]() | Press Releases February 4, 2008 Kerio Announces Appointments of Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Eastern Europe Alan Hughes Leads Global Finance as Chief Financial Officer; Jozef Belvoncik Promoted to Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Kerio Technologies in the Czech Republic SAN JOSE, Calif. – February 4, 2008 – Kerio Technologies Inc., a leading provider of award winning Internet security and messaging software, today announced the appointments of Alan Hughes as chief financial officer and Jozef Belvoncik as senior vice president. In his new dual role, Hughes is responsible for the global financial management of Kerio Technologies as CFO and also manages sales operations in the Western European region as the managing director of Kerio Technologies UK Ltd. Belvoncik manages sales, operations and marketing in the Czech Republic for Kerio’s Eastern European region as the managing director of Kerio Technologies, s.r.o. “Our global footprint and rapidly growing market demands a dedicated and experienced financial professional. It was a logical management decision to promote Alan,” said Scott Schreiman, CEO of Kerio Technologies, Inc. “As vice president of finance Alan was a valuable addition to the executive team and has been instrumental in implementing strong global financial management, and reporting systems.” “We are committed to providing solid financial reporting, and a reliable operations structure to support our loyal global install base,” said Alan Hughes, CFO and managing director of Kerio Technologies in the United Kingdom. “I am honored to accept this promotion as chief financial officer.” Hughes has more than 20 years of experience in financial management. He has been with the company since February 2006, managing the budget, the financial reporting systems on a global basis, as well as managing Kerio’s Western European region. Previously, he was the financial controller of the $25 million UK-based Microscopy Division of Bio-Rad, a large life science and clinical diagnostics company. Hughes is a fellow of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) in the United Kingdom. “As managing director of Kerio Technologies, s.r.o., Josef is responsible for overall financial performance of Kerio’s Czech Republic business unit which includes the entire Eastern European region, and is a key player on the global management team,” said Schreiman. “The performance of the region under his leadership in 2007 was exceptional. Previously, he held lead sales and marketing roles for eight years at Microsoft s.r.o in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Belvoncik earned a degree in the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology from the Department of Management at Slovak Technical University in Bratislava.
