Overview

Kerio Technologies is seeking an entrepreneurial, energetic, and organized leader and mentor to oversee all aspects of US and Canada sales. The successful candidate will possess a wide variety of skills that are necessary to wear the many hats involved with this role, including remote team management, channel management, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and more.

The Senior Channel Manager will report to the Vice President of Worldwide Sales and directly manage a team of five field-based Channel Managers, two Sales Engineers, and one Sales Operations Manager. The rest of the US sales team consists of two Inside Sales positions that handle inbound inquiries and lead generation.

Responsibilities

Kerio is a true channel-focused organization with over 90% of the revenue being driven through the channel. Channel Managers are located in key markets across five territories, where they work from either a home or local office. The Senior Channel Manager is responsible for seeing that all efforts on the sales team are directed towards growing the channel through continuous prospecting, recruitment, and training of partners. Regular visits by the Senior Channel Manager with the Channel Managers into the key markets are required to get first-hand accounts of the needs of our partners, demonstrate our deep commitment to the channel, as well as continue the growth of our sales team members.

  • Drive channel development and revenue in United States and Canada
  • Develop and mentor sales team

Desired Experience

  • 5-7 years of channel sales experience
  • 2-3 years of channel sales team leadership experience

  • Networking and Security industry experience
  • Ability to develop and evolve Go To Market strategies
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to gain buy-in from key stakeholders in other departments

Channel Marketing Specialist

Kerio is a rapidly growing, privately held software company combining the agility and excitement of a start-up with the stability and experienced management of a well-established company. Our flagship products, including Kerio Connect and Kerio Control, have been deployed by over 50,000 SMB organizations worldwide over the past 13 years.

As part of the US Channel Marketing team, the Channel Marketing Specialist will assist in the planning and execution of marketing activities to and through the Kerio partner community. Marketing activities directed to the partner community include tradeshows and events, live webinars, promotions, sales incentive campaigns, newsletter and email campaigns. Marketing activities through the Kerio partner community primarily consists of MDF activities with select partners and maintaining consistent Kerio brand and message on partner websites. As an individual contributor, the Channel Marketing Specialist will report to the Director of Channel Marketing and will collaborate closely with the rest of the Marketing team while partnering with the Channel Sales team.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate publication of regional monthly newsletters
  • Clearly articulate company and product message both verbally and in written material
  • Write marketing copy (event descriptions, newsletter articles, partner email campaigns)
  • Assist with the logistical execution of local tradeshows, events and online webinar series
  • Coordinate content development for online webinar series (abstracts, presentations)
  • Maintain printed collateral, partner training curriculum and website content (events, promos, partner listings)
  • Assist with the planning and management of local sales promotions
  • Coordinate MDF activities and budget
  • Analyze, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement in said areas of responsibility

Required Job Experience:

  • BA/BS plus 3-5 years of Channel Marketing experience, 2-3 years in the IT industry
  • Familiarity in the SMB IT & Security market is a plus
  • A solid understanding of the sales process and of marketing programs, events and promotions
  • Experience in developing lead generation campaigns (direct mail, email marketing, seminars, webinars, advertising, etc.)
  • Solid marketing writing skills

Technical Skills:

  • Comfortable in both Mac & PC environments
  • Intermediate level or higher experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Working knowledge of HTML basics
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Salesforce, WebEx, Adobe Connect Pro, PHPList is a plus

We are looking for a PR Manager who will proactively create and maintain relationships with key US and international media and industry analysts. The PR Manager will manage PR work with a team of international based marketing managers, and senior executives. The PR Manager will report to the Director of Product Marketing.

General:

  • Manage and coordinate internal press related communications and activities
  • Prepare and coordinate worldwide PR budget
  • Track, measure and report on PR activities
  • Develop annual PR plan

Press and Media Relations:

  • Develop PR tactics for product launches and channel program activities
  • Brief and train PR agencies around the globe
  • Write and distribute press releases to national and international business and trade press
  • Coordinate creation and publication of customer success stories
  • Actively pitch stories and drive relationships with national trade and technology media
  • Provide analysis and tracking reports of press and media coverage
  • Develop and execute media tours (virtual and in-person)
  • Write company and product descriptions for directories
  • Update and maintain a media contact directory lists and media files
  • Manage editorial calendars from related industry print and online publications
  • Develop and execute company's social media strategy
  • Assist VARs and IT channel partners with PR activities

Analyst Relations:

  • Develop and manage briefing schedule with industry analysts
  • Analyze reports and briefings from analysts
  • Provide feedback to product marketing

Candidate Profile:

  • 5 years experience
  • Strong understanding of firewall and/or messaging technology
  • Strong relationships with key press and media
  • Experience with industry sector analysts
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Excellent writing skills
  • BA degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, or PR related discipline
