CalConnect Celebrates Tenth Anniversary in San Jose, California

San Jose, Calif, Feb. 10, 2015 - Kerio Technologies recently had the honor of hosting CalConnect XXXII in San Jose, California. With a record number of attendees, the event focused on tackling the next challenges for calendaring and scheduling including healthcare, travel, the Smart Grid, and smarter, easier, and ubiquitous calendaring.

Vendors were also able to test the interoperability of their products. Through rigorous testing they verified the compatibility of protocols within their products, so that end users are able to communicate with others no matter what calendaring application they choose to use.

"It is very appropriate that CalConnect XXXII, our celebration of ten years of promoting interoperable calendaring and scheduling, should be hosted by Kerio at their headquarters in San Jose," said Gary Schwartz, President of CalConnect. "As a longstanding supporter, Kerio's continued commitment to interoperability and calendaring standards will help ensure CalConnect's future success."

Scott Schreiman, CEO, Kerio Technologies took part in the panel discussion reviewing the future of calendaring. "We discussed how to tackle new challenges, consensus scheduling and standards-based tasks," said Schreiman. "Conferences such as these will continue to be very important and will enable Kerio and other vendors to align different programs, applications and devices in the exchange of important information among colleagues, partners, and customers".

During the event, Kerio, an early adopter in open standards, tested new CalDAV PUSH technology and Automated Service Configuration (also known as Aggregated Service Discovery). Together with Marten Gajda, who develops Android CalDAV/CardDAV clients, Kerio was also the very first company to demonstrate a functional prototype using these exciting new standards.
