Kerio 2014 – The Road Ahead

In my last post I talked about the great year that Kerio experienced in 2013. In this post, I'll look ahead into 2014 and talk about some of our upcoming product and marketing plans that will help make 2014 another banner year for our community of customers, partners and employees.

Look for new releases of Kerio Connect, Kerio Control and Kerio Operator in the spring. Our latest statistics tell us that 60,000 businesses are using these products in 120 countries around the globe. Kerio has historically differentiated our software from the competition with easy administration, flexible deployment options and low cost of ownership while maintaining powerful features and ease of use. Expect continued focus on bringing enterprise class functionality to small and mid-sized businesses in 2014.

In early Q2, we'll be rolling out a new Kerio.com website that we're really excited about. In addition to reorganizing, rewriting and improving the look of the site, we will be updating the partner locator and overhauling the trial software download user experience. The new site will make it easier for prospective customers to find relevant Kerio product information, download and register for trial versions of our software and to find resellers in their area.

An area of emphasis for Kerio marketing in 2013 was shifting more resources into online marketing, lead capture and qualification. Our new website will certainly help us in these efforts. Also, we have recently begun several pilot programs with a few partners who are using our sales and marketing systems and content (ad creative, website content) to generate leads from their own websites. We plan to learn from these pilots in 1H 2014 and roll programs out more broadly to larger partners in 2H 2014. In addition to these pilots, we are continuing general Kerio online marketing activities to support all partners.

We're excited to announce the date for our European Distributor Forum, which will be held on May 16, 2014 in Amsterdam. More details will be coming soon.

There are many activities across Kerio devoted to improving and growing Samepage. We continue to receive lots of feedback on Samepage and have many improvements planned in the coming months that directly address some of the major feature requests we receive from users. Big areas of emphasis for Samepage in 1H 2014 include mobile client improvements, overall UX improvements and significant upgrades of help and user training functionality within the product.

There are many other activities underway in the product and marketing areas, which I'll save for future posts. In the meantime, as Ron Burgundy would say, stay classy.
