Kerio To Host Inaugural Partner Forum During Cebit Australia
Sydney Event to Showcase Kerio's Renewed Investment in the Australian Market
SYDNEY, Australia - May 18, 2010 - Kerio Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of Internet security and messaging solutions, announced it would be hosting its first ever partner forum in Sydney on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. The Kerio Partner Forum, which will take place at the Novotel Rockford Darling Harbour, is targeted towards SMB-focused IT resellers and integrators. The event will showcase industry experts speaking on current trends in IT and will introduce channel partners to the Kerio team members supporting the region.
"After our sole distributor for the region disintegrated last year, we needed to act quickly to ensure our customers and partners would not be adversely affected," said Mirek Kren, vice president of Worldwide Sales for Kerio. "We made the decision to directly support our reseller channel and increase our local presence, and so far it is paying off."
Kerio has been steadily increasing sales and support resources for the region since the beginning of the year. "We have really been encouraged by the response from our resellers," said Abi Vickram, Brisbane native and channel manager for Kerio in Australia. "We have a much closer connection to our partners that are selling and supporting our solutions, and this event should really exemplify that."
The Kerio Partner Forum will focus on new opportunities for Value Added Resellers in SMB IT and will include presentations on Cloud Computing and Virtualisation from CRN Australia Hall of Fame inductee and Microsoft MVP, Wayne Small, and VMware's Senior Virtualisation Consultant, Andre Leibovici. Kerio's messaging product, Kerio Connect, and security product, Kerio WinRoute Firewall, will both be demonstrated in virtual deployments. Jason Drew, IT Director of Kerio Preferred Partner, Secom Technology, will share the secrets of his success selling Kerio solutions against SonicWALL and Microsoft over the last 10 years.
"Kerio has really given us a competitive advantage in supporting the Internet messaging and security needs of small and medium sized businesses," said Mr. Drew. "I am glad Kerio's presence is being felt more here in Sydney, and I am looking forward to speaking at their event."
