The channel partners journey from on-prem software to the Cloud

Getting the Cloud right in the channel partner environment is challenging for all SaaS vendors. Our Kerio Partner Program Manager Elise Hymes explains what helped Kerio partners to embrace Samepage.

How have Kerio partners responded to Samepage and cloud in general?

The partner community is learning to love the cloud and learning to love Samepage. It has been a slow relationship that has taken a longtime to develop; however, I think they are starting to see that Samepage and the cloud is the future - actually it is today.

With the Kerio Partner Portal's move to Samepage, it has helped partners to understand the product specifically and the value of it being in the cloud. We have been able to show them first hand how easy and flexible it is to use.

We recently had a meeting with the PAC, and found that they are now all using Samepage - and they love it! They are demoing it to customers, and looking to us for templates. They see the power in it and want to continue to use it, promote it.

We do still receive requests for on prem, but they are few and far between. The partners now see the value in Kerio launching cloud-based versions of our software and have watched other partners adopt the cloud. They understand it is here to stay and is a viable alternative to on-prem for some of their customers.

When the initial announcement came out, it was new, it was scary, and they didn't have enough information. As we continue to educate them, they become more willing to adapt and use the cloud.
